SOS: Day 82

Day 82
The little voice to subdue.

U.S. Office of War Information, 1943.

Pretend you’ve been SOS habithacking for, say, 82 days.

And just imagine that you started out all fired up, intending to lose a sensible four pounds per month, improve your diet,  meditate, make all around healthy changes. And further fantasize that after an initial flush of success, things didn’t work out that way and you slipped back into your old ways.

If this has happened, there’s likely to be a little voice that starts shouting at you from somewhere inside that head of yours. I know that voice because I’ve heard it plenty.

It’s a nag, a hag, and a bag. The nagging part is not always so bad because it at least tries to get you to do the right thing. But the hag and the bag? That’s the part of the voice that only wants to point out that you’ve failed yet again. That you’ll never get healthy. And furthermore, you don’t deserve to.

Ignore that voice.

Here at habithacker, we won’t pile on if things haven’t gone right the first time around. That’s why every single month, we remind you that if something didn’t work the first time, no problem. Go back to the beginning. Whenever you want.

Fail better next time. And pretty soon, you’ll be succeeding, too.
