Nest: Day 27

Day 27
The science of seven.

The seven lucky gods of fortune in Japanese mythology. By Doctor Boogaloo.

Everyone’s heard that it takes 21 days to make a habit. This idea originally came from a doctor’s observation that it took amputees that long to get rid of phantom limb pain. It isn’t real science (and neither is my science of seven).

On some mornings, the thought of having to do something 21 consecutive times may make you want to give up . So forget about this 21 days business, and instead, focus on the power of seven.

Seven days, just one week. Repeating something every day, each day of the week is good enough. And if you miss a day, don’t chuck your habit. Start again tomorrow.

Morning routine:
Obey your BOP.
Do your do.
Polish your place.
Take five (an 8 minute break every half hour).
Shovel your shitspot.
