Are you overleaven?
Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror wearing last year’s favorite low-rise jeans and thought your belly looked like overleaven bread dough?
If you’re a home baker, you know what I mean. If your dough rises a bit too much, it puffs, swelling over the sides of the pan.
There are days that many of us look a bit like this, I’m afraid, and one of the best remedies for tightening and firming–whether it’s love handles or muffin tops– is to lift weights.
The equipment investment is not too terribly much if you want to do this at home with free weights, and once you learn the basics, it’s even rather fun. Think about starting a weight program, either at home or at your gym. Today is a heads up; tomorrow we’ll talk about it more.
