Nest: Day 24

Day 24
Perform P4.

It's a golden opportunity.

I’ve saved all the truly awful parts of habithacking home life until now.

Today, we get to the gross of the matter: the bathroom. I agree with the wisdom of domestic diva Flylady on this one: the only way to tolerate the bathos of the bath is to never let it get dirty. Flylady tells you to do a quick clean every day. I can’t bring myself to do that. A couple swishy-swipes a week is good enough. And although Flylady uses that civilized term “swish & swipe,” here at habithacker we tell it like it is.

What you’re going to do is P4, which stands for Pee Poo & Paste (toothpaste, that is) Patrol–it’s an awful job, folks, so we give it a vulgar name. But if you do it a few times a week (in that half-assed habithackin’ way), you won’t regret it.

So quickly run that bowl brush around the toilet, wipe the mirror with a paper towel and Windex, and use that same paper towel to quickly rub your sink and counter top. Do such a quick & dirty job that it takes only a minute. If you miss a few spots, no problem. You’ll be doing it again soon.

Add P4 to your  morning routines.

Just remember, friends: Right after Number 1 and Number 2…perform P4.

Morning routine:
Obey your BOP.
