About Habithacker

I'm disguised in this photo because I'm ashamed of the state of my FAR (future art room).

Who am I? Someone who writes, composes music, makes jewelry, studies ikebana, takes photographs, trains parrots, and paints portraits (my husband accused me of making him look like an alien; well, okay, his head was shaped like a turnip).

I love creative ventures. Even ones I do badly.

My name is Jean Hanson. And I've got a problem. Maybe you've got one, too.

I've had a tough time corralling clutter, running my household smoothly, and keeping in shape. Maybe I wouldn't mind being a sloth and a slob but it impacts my art. Mess with my creativity and I fight back.

However, I don't want to overtax my brain cells battling the bulge or conquering chaos. I've got better things to do. You do, too. That's why I created a website to help us master the art of habit....so we have more time for the habit of art.

To do your best creative work, you need to be healthy, happy, and have boring bullshit (can you say laundry?) running on routine.

Whether you express creativity in how you play with your kids or the way you sing opera, I have free programs to help.

About Habithacker.com

This website is paid for and written and designed and updated and whatevered by Habithacker (me, Jean Hanson), who is just one person sitting at her computer trying to figure out how to make habithacking successful in her life and yours.

The programs on this website are free. I have no advertising. I don't collect funds from products or resources, including those I advise you to try. I am not paid for reviews (or any postings or any anything...bawwwww...life aint' fair).

All my recommendations are independent, and that's why you can trust them.

Wow, Jean, you say. You are such a friggin' saint. You do all this work for nothing.

But you have beady eyes and greedy teeth. What are you REALLY getting out of this, Habithacker?

I hope: a more organized life, a healthier bod, a finished first novel, and the joy of helping other creatives out there. Some time in the future I will create some ebooks for habithackers...and then, and then, just you wait, you will see, I'll make you pay, believe me, I swear, you will pay, indeed you will. But just a few bucks. I'm a crappy capitalist.
