Create: Day 50
There must be 50 ways to heave your lover.
Yes, give your lover, your husband, your wife, your kids, and even your dog the old heave-ho.
Kick ‘em out. While you’re doing your creative work, that is.
You deserve the time and space to nurture your creativity. Women, especially, have a tendency to be ever-available to everyone. I know I jump at the first call for help in finding the salt or retrieving the phone number of the sprinkler repair guy or admiring husband’s latest gadget. I respond even if I’m in the middle of writing a short story paragraph. That’s so wrong!
Starting today, let’s allow ourselves, not the luxury, but the necessity of time and space to create. After all, the world can find the salt without you…but it’s not going to have the benefit of your creativity unless you create. Next month, we’re going to concentrate more on this, but I encourage you to begin thinking about where you can set up a space just for yourself. No trespassers allowed.
