Create: Day 11

Day 11
Eleven, eleven, eight = seventh heaven.

Peace Vibrations by Vipz

Today’s Nest post tells you why I set my timer to 11 minutes to accomplish household tasks, and how I incorporate 8 minute breaks. Creativity, too,  has a way of flowing when it’s under the constraint of time. It keeps your perfectionist beast at bay. Which is why so many of us require a deadline to get our novels or paintings or music compositions finished.

New Age philosophers say the number 11 is powerful. There’s actually a flickr photo group for the number 11. Supposedly, it’s a number with powers of synchronicity. It is fun to contemplate, and I’ve included more in today’s SOS post. Additional eleven ruminations:

A complete eleventh chord has almost every note of a diatonic scale.
11 is a prime number (the smallest double-digit prime).
The expression at the eleventh hour means at the last minute.

Don’t forget to schedule your next creative Sunday. Spend time creating. Moodling will prime your brain.

Here’s an idea: how about a creative representation of the number 11? Send it to me, and I’ll post it.

Create Month 1
What to do so far:
In case you missed a day, the reminders below are clickable.
Have fun.
Be violent and original in your creative life.
Make collages (dream boards, vision boards).
Leave perfectionism behind.
Take risks by throwing out tons of ideas.
Set aside time every Sunday to work on art.
Moodle (going on an “artist date”) once a month on Saturdays (to start).
Make more time for creativity by ditching something else.
Schedule moodling (artist date) for next month.

Try setting a timer for 11 minutes for a fast, creative break.
